John Dilworth
BONE, Arnold R. Born 1913 South Ryegate, Vermont, d.2001 Needham, Massachusetts USA. Trained as a machinist. Bow maker from 1937. Assisted Charles Hunnicutt in Wilmington Ohio; later taught by Frank Passa and William Salchow. Established in Needham, Massachusetts. Certificate for craftsmanship awarded by Violin Society of America 1978. 100 bows made to various French patterns. Highly regarded as a bow restorer. [Wenberg]
