BRAUN, Anton Born 1847 Kutna Hora Czech Republic, died 1901 Belgrade Serbia Pupil of J. F. Homolka in Kutná Hora and later with Placht in Vienna. Subsequently worked in Budapest 1876-1887, Szeged, and finally in Belgrade. Principal repairer to the Serbian court. Very fine workmanship on models of Stainer and Stradivari, using good materials and varnish, although his work is rare. Antonius Braun / fecit Belgradi 1890
