Cecie Stainer+

Possibly sons of Giofredo. Were both makers, working in Saluzzio and in Turin about 1661-1712. There are instruments dated 1712, but of no particular merit.

Vielleicht ein Sohn Goffredo’s, — übrigens waren mehrere Nachkommen
Goffredo Cappa’s Geigenmacher, darunter wohl noch ein Goffredo, so dass es
sich erklärt, wenn Geigen mit diesem Namen mit so weit auseinander liegenden
Daten wie 1640 und 1712 vorkommen. Cappa’s Nachkommen waren aber
durchaus unbedeutend, so dass man ihre Arbeiten leicht von den seinen unterscheiden
kann.
