CARLSON, John Emi Born 1891 Grängesberg Sweden, Worked circa. 1921-1960 Chicago, Illinois USA. Emigrated to USA 1921. Worked for William Lewis in Chicago as a repairer. Later joined by his brother Ernst, above. Became workshop foreman in 1950. As a maker he was taught by Carl Becker. Stradivari model. Own oil varnish. Made about 100 instruments sold through Lewis & Son. [Wenberg]
