John Dilworth
CHANOT, Alfred Ernest Born 1890, d. after 1940 London UK. Son and pupil of Frederick William. Established at 29 Rathbone Place Place, London, 1930. Retired to East Sheen 1940. His work is rarer than many others of his family due to his occupation as a repairer. Nevertheless a fully realised maker and copyist in the family tradition. A. E. Chanot.
