b. June 24, 1841, Mirecourt; d. Feb., 1893. Worked first at Mirecourt, then under Grandjon, and, in 1859, entered the workshop of Gand Freres (Paris), where he remained till 1870. He then established himself at 364, rue Saint-Denis, but in 1884 moved to 13, rue du faubourg Poissonniere.
At the Paris Exhibition, 1878, he received a “Mention honorable” for his instruments, which show clever work.

Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Nachdem er in seiner Vaterstadt ausgelernt hatte, arbeitete er bei Grandjon
und kam 1859 nach Paris zu den Brüdern Gand als Gehülfe, wo er bis 1870
blieb. Hierauf begründete er seine eigene Werkstatt in der Rue St. Denis und
zog 1884 in die Rue du Faubourg Poissonière. Er arbeitete gediegen, hatte einen guten Lack und erhielt auf allen von ihm beschickten Ausstellungen Auszeichnungen.
Seine Wittwe führte mit ihrem Neffen Ch. Moinel das Geschäft
bis 1892 fort.
