COLE, James Worked circa. 1845-1892 Manchester UK. Pupil of Tarr and associated with Craske. Work very variable in quality, but cellos generally more successful. After 1858 work branded internally: ‘J. Cole’ Cole (Senior) / Raby Street / Moss Side / Manchester James Cole / Fecit Manchester / 1857.
