DANIEL, Edmond Worked circa. 1815-1852 Paris & Marseilles France. Son of Charles Daniel, above. Worked for Gand in Paris. Later succeeded to his father’s business in Marseilles, at a new address, 5 rue Paradis, until after 1852. Edmond specialised in wind instruments, and violins bearing his label are probably the work of Charles Plumerel. High arch with accurate purfling, and fine soft yellow-orange varnish.
