Son of Charles Daniel, above. Worked for Gand in Paris. Later succeeded to his father’s business in Marseilles, at a new address, 5 rue Paradis, until after 1852. DANIEL, Edmond Worked circa. 1815-1852 Paris & Marseilles France. Son of Charles Daniel, above. Worked for Gand in Paris. Later succeeded to his father’s business in Marseilles, at a new address, 5 rue Paradis, until after 1852. Edmond specialised in wind instruments, and violins bearing his label are probably the work of Charles Plumerel. High arch with accurate purfling, and fine soft yellow-orange varnish. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Sohn, Schüler und Nachfolger von Charles Daniel, arbeitete kurze Zeit bei
Gand in Paris und war der Lehrer von A. Guerin, der später sein Nachfolger
wurde. Als tüchtiger Reparateur wurde er geschätzt, trieb aber hauptsächlich
einen Handel mit Musikinstrumenten aller Art.
