DELEAU, Lucien Worked circa. 1830-1858 Rouen France. Chiefly a repairer and restorer, employed by Charotte and later Jeandel whose shop he subsequently took over. In 1858 he passed the business over to his son who was not a violin maker.

In 1836 (on the death of Charotte) he joined Jeandel in violin making and they continued the business at 36, rue Beauvoisine, Rouen, until 1848.
