Pupil of J. B. Vavra and B. Lantner in Prague. Established in Turnov from 1925. Very fine work on Stradivari, Guarneri, and Stainer models. Orange-brown or red varnish on good gold-coloured ground. One of his instruments used by Jan Kubelik. Branded internally: ‘F. X. Drozen Turnov’. Also signed com\u{2026} — John Dilworth
