Bow maker. Son of Charles Claude Fétique, above. Pupil of E. Miquel. Worked with C. N. Bazin, and assistant to his brother Victor François, below. FÉTIQUE, Jules Born 1875 Mirecourt, died 1951 Paris France. Bow maker. Son of Charles Claude Fétique, above. Pupil of E. Miquel. Worked with C. N. Bazin, and assistant to his brother Victor François, below. Left to work for Sartory in Paris 1902, and then for A. Caressa. Established in partnership with A. Dugad in Paris 1934, in the rue de Moscou. From this date he worked to a more Peccatte-like style than he had learned with Sartory, developing a strong head that became a pattern for contemporary Paris makers. Awarded Diplôme d’Honneur 1937. He and Sartory stand as the finest and most influential Parisian bow makers of the 20th century. Retired to Gagny-les-Abesses, an eastern suburb of Paris, where he died.
