A Viol da Gamba of this maker from the Clapisson collection, is at the Conservatoire, Paris.
Cecie Stainer+
A maker in Paris in the rue des Boucheries about 1751-91. He made fairly good violins. An alto dated 1751 is known and a guitar. In the Paris Conservatoire Collection is a bass-viol, well made, dated 1755. In 1791 he was still working, repairing violins, double-basses, and altos.
Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Ein geschickter Lauten- und Geigenmacher, der bei seinen Genossen sehr
angesehen war und zum geschwornen Meister für das Jahr 1755 gewählt wurde.
Er wohnte, und zwar noch 1789 im Faubourg Saint Germain, rue des Boucheries.
Eine Bassviola von 1755 von ihm besitzt das Museum des Pariser Conservatoriums.
Das älteste bisher von ihm bekannte echte Instrument ist ein Alto von 1751, es ist daher sicher ein Irrthum, wenn ihn Hart schon in das Jahr 1718 setzt. Er war ein geschickter Reparateur und auch seine Sackpfeifen (ein Modeinstrument jener Tage) und Leiern waren berühmt.
