Apprenticed to Darte in Mirecourt. Worked for Lullier in Boulogne and for Gand and Bernardel in Paris from 1880. Succeeded to Gand in 1892; joined in partnership by Albert Caressa in 1901. FRANÇAIS, Henri Born 1861 Paris died 1943 Cannes France. Apprenticed to Darte in Mirecourt. Worked for Lullier in Boulogne and for Gand and Bernardel in Paris from 1880. Succeeded to Gand in 1892; joined in partnership by Albert Caressa in 1901. Many fine instruments and bows produced by the workshop, but most effort devoted to restoration and expertise of old instruments.
Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Schüler von Gand & Bernardel. Er arbeitete 22 Jahre lang bei der gleichen
Firma und wurde am 1. Juli 1901 mit Caressa zusammen Nachfolger von Gustave
Bernardel. Er arbeitet nach Lupot in den Traditionen der Werkstatt und erhielt
schon 1897 in Brüssel eine goldene Mitarbeiter-Medaille.
