GATTO, Andrea Worked 1665-1679 Turin Italy. Interesting and rare maker of the early Turin school, influenced by northern European styles: ribs set into the edges of the back in the manner of early Dutch, English, and Germanic makers. Elegant outline, Amatisé form with extended slightly hooked corners.
