Berühmter Lautenmacher des 18. Jahrhunderts. Violinen von ihm sind mir
nicht bekannt geworden, dagegen einige gute Violen und Violoncelli. Der
Boden ist gewöhnlich flach, die Decke wenig gewölbt (ein Violoncello 105 cm
lang). Eine Tenorgeige aus dem Jahre 1742 bewahrt das Gewerbemuseum in
Markneukirchen, eine schon eingelegte lautenförmige Guitarre (von 1747) das Musikhistorische Museum Paul de Wit’s in Leipzig, ferner sind Arbeiten von ihm
in den Museen zu Stockholm und Kopenhagen.
