Sohn, Schüler und zum Theil Nachf. von K. Grimm, da er Theilhaber der
Firma mit seinem Schwager Hellmig wurde. Den Geigenbau hat er jedoch in
der Folge nicht betrieben; er wurde 1844 als 1. Harfenist bei der kgl. Kapelle
angestellt und galt als Künstler in seinem Fache.
