Valdrighi states that he was known for plucked instruments. G. A. Marchi mentions him in a letter to Count Cozio di Salabue dated 25th June 1805: ‘the violin maker (‘violinaro’) Filippo Guarmandi, very good on keyboard instruments’. No work currently known.
