HAMMA, Fridolin (I) Born 1818, died 1892 Stuttgart Germany. Founder of the eminent firm of Hamma & Co. An expert and connoisseur. Instruments bearing the Hamma label were made by several skilled workmen including François Caussin and Josef Anton Haff (II). He claimed to follow a method of construction imparted to him by one Tuzzi of Naples, but no evidence of this maker or his techniques is known. Manufactuer / D’instruments de Musique / Paris F.
