Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Schüler von Georges Mougenot, arbeitete als Gehilfe bei Gand & Bernardel
in Paris und eröffnete 1855 seine eigene Werkstatt in Lüttich. Er ist hauptsächlich mit Ausbesserungen beschäftigt, macht aber auch neue Instrumente, wobei
er entweder Stradivaris »Messias« Guarnieri del Gesù oder J. B. Vuillaume zum Vorbild nimmt. Sein Lack besteht aus einer Mischung von Leinöl und Terpentin. — Er besitzt als der Sohn eines Professors am Kgl. Conservatorium eine gediegene musikalische
Vorbildung.
