Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Bis 1886 Schüler von Robert Wild; er ging hierauf in die Fremde und bereiste
Ober- und Niederösterreich, Ungarn bis Budapest, die Schweiz, Tyrol und
Süddeutschland und gründete 1893 unter schwierigen Verhältnissen in Mittweida
sein eigenes Geschäft, das er aber bald in die Höhe brachte. Er arbeitet
sowohl nach Stradivari als auch nach Amati und Stainer etc. und hat auch ein eigenes, dem Stradivari ähnliches, flach gewölbtes Modell. Er bereitet sich einen hellgelbbraunen Lack selbst. Ausser Geigen und Violoncelli macht er auch Zithern.
