John Dilworth
Pierre Charles, Born 1828, died 1900 Nancy. Son and successor of Charles Jacquot, above. Joined by his sons, Etienne and Jules, the business known as ‘Ch. Jacquot et Fils’. The leading French maker of his time. Awarded the Croix de la Légion d’honneur in 1892. Very fine work on Stradivari and Guarneri models. Prizes won at Metz 1861, London 1862, Lyons 1870, Paris 1878, Algiers, Vienna, and Moscow 1891 and Chicago 1892. Medailles d’or et d’argent / C.
