Sohn von Joseph Thomas Kl.; um sich von seinem Vater, der seine Geigen
mit »Joseph Kl.« bezeichnete, zu unterscheiden, nannte er sich Joseph Klotz jun.
Er soll ein guter Geiger gewesen sein und arbeitete sehr sauber. Einen
schönen Bass von ungewöhnlicher Grösse von ihm besitzt das musikhistorische
Museum P. de Wit’s in Leipzig.
