Er soll der Sohn eines Paul Kugler sein, von dem Stecher in Salzburg eine
Geige aus dem Jahre 1799 besitzt. Max K. hat sich mehr auf die Zithermacherei
verlegt; Geigen von ihm sind daher sehr selten. Eine Philomela von ihm befindet
sich aus der Sammlung Snoeck jetzt in der kgl. Sammlung in Berlin.
