Wahrscheinlich aus Mirecourt und ein Schüler von Grosset, den er nachahmte. Er wohnte in der Rue des Nonaindières und war als Geigenmacher nicht hervorragend; weder sein Modell noch sein gelber Lack sind sonderlich ansprechend; dagegen waren seine Sackpfeifen berühmt.
