LEFÈVRE, Toussaint Nicolas Germain Worked circa. 1762-1815 Paris France. Violin and bow maker. Established in the Rue de Cimetière Saint-Jean, working at 20 rue Saint-Antoine from 1813. Unremarkable violins, but interesting bows; early work, c.1775-1780 on ‘Cramer’ model, in the style of Tourte or Meauchand. Change c.1790, adopting a L. Tourte pattern.
