MEARES, Richard (II) Born 1671, d.c.1743 London UK. Son, pupil, and successor of Richard Meares (I), above. Moved from St Paul’s Churchyard to Birchin Lane, then returned to St Paul’s in London House Yard. Chiefly occupied with music publishing. Some instruments bearing the Meares label in this period may be the work of employees. [BVMA]
