François (III) Worked circa. 1690-1710 Nancy & Paris. Son of Sébastien Médard, below. Appointed luthier to the orchestra of Louis XVI. Fine Amatisé work with red or yellow varnish. Vannes cites a double bass with marquetry inlay, with carved head of a fawn replacing the scroll, dated 1700. Franciscus Médard / fecit Parisiis anno 1700
