John Dilworth+

Sébastien Born circa. 1576, Worked Nancy & Paris, died 1636. Son of Claude Médard(II), above. Recorded as ‘faiseur de Lutz’. Condemned to death for fraud but died before the sentence was carried out.

Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Vielleicht ein Sohn von Claude II. M., stammt wahrscheinlich aus Nancy,
wo er um 1576 geboren sein kann, wenn auch sein Taufschein nicht aufzufinden
ist. Dieses Mitglied der berühmten lothringischen Geigenmacherfamilie wurde
von einem tragischen Geschicke ereilt, indem er und seine 1601 geborne Tochter
Jehanne und deren Liebhaber P. P. Prelasque aus Lyon der Falschmünzerei
angeklagt wurden. Séb. M. wurde am 31. Mai 1636 zum Tode verurtheilt,
starb aber vor der Hinrichtung, jedenfalls an den Folgen der grausamen Folter,
der er unterworfen wurde.
