Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Schüler von Karl Grimm und Christian Adam, an welche beiden seine
älteren Arbeiten auch erinnern. Er machte sich 1869 selbstständig und ist jetzt
einer der besten Berliner Meister. Er copirt die alten Italiener — wenn auch
nicht sklavisch — und macht seine Geigen und Violoncelli ziemlich stark im
Holz. In der Wiederherstellung schadhafter Instrumente leistet er Hervorragendes.
Er gilt auch als sehr geschickter Bogenmacher.
