Son and pupil of François Moinel, below. Also trained with Emile Germain. Successor to the business of his uncle Cherpitel in 1893, the company thereafter known as Moinel-Cherpitel. MOINEL, Charles Born 1866, died 1945 Paris France. Son and pupil of François Moinel, below. Also trained with Emile Germain. Successor to the business of his uncle Cherpitel in 1893, the company thereafter known as Moinel-Cherpitel. Retired to Voulangais 1921 where he continued to work alone, but returned to Paris before 1945. Fine work on classical Italian models. Red-brown varnish over golden ground.
