Son and pupil of François Moinel, below. Also trained with Emile Germain. Successor to the business of his uncle Cherpitel in 1893, the company thereafter known as Moinel-Cherpitel. Retired to Voulangais 1921 where he continued to work alone, but returned to Paris before 1945. Fine work on classical\u{2026} — John Dilworth

MOINEL, Charles Born 1866, died 1945 Paris France. Son and pupil of François Moinel, below. Also trained with Emile Germain. Successor to the business of his uncle Cherpitel in 1893, the company thereafter known as Moinel-Cherpitel. Retired to Voulangais 1921 where he continued to work alone, but returned to Paris before 1945. Fine work on classical Italian models. Red-brown varnish over golden ground. Nephew of N. E. Cherpitel. A maker in Paris. On the death of Cherpitel, in 1893, he assisted the widow to continue the business.

Wittwe fort und ist seit 1897 der Nachfolger seines Oheims.
