Er war der Sohn des Josef Georg M. und heirathete am 24. Februar 1794
Magdalena Hasslerin aus Klosterzimmern. In den Matrikelbüchern wird er
»Chelium faber« genannt. Als Geigenmacher war er nicht bedeutend; weder
Holz noch Lack entschädigen für das unschöne Modell. Er dürfte ursprünglich
Tischler gewesen sein. — In Wallerstein lebten noch ein Johann Caspar Moz
(† 1794, 76 Jahre alt) und ein Georg Caspar M., der 1788 eine zweite Ehe einging. Beide waren Tischler.
