MUCCHI, Antonio Born circa. 1800, died 1883 Modena Italy. Thought to be a pupil of Soliani. Several good cellos in the style of Rocca and Pressenda. Yellow oil varnish. [Vannes]

Er war vielleicht ein Schüler von Soliani und arbeitete im Stile Rocca’s
und Pressenda’s. Valdrighi (2183) erwähnt S. 167 ein Violoncello von ihm, das
den Namen »Dandolo« fuhrt, und preist ihn S. 188 als trefflichen Geigenmacher und Reparateur. Er hat an 50 Violoncelli gemacht und verwendete einen gelben Öllack.
