John Dilworth
Ludwig Born 1821 Jena Germany, died 1887 St. Petersburg Russia. Son and pupil of Georg August Gottfried Otto, above. Worked in Erfurt from 1850, Cologne from 1855, and St. Petersburg from 1871. Stradivari-derived model. Fine and consistent professional work. Red-brown oil varnish. Presented three violins, viola, cello, and double-bass at the London Exhibition 1862.
