PONS, Louis David Born 1785, died 1873 Grenoble France. Son, pupil, and successor of César Pons, above. Made and sold stringed instruments in general. Best known for guitars for which he gained an honourable mention in 1827. Some work branded: ‘Pons Fils à Grenoble’ L. Pons fils, / Luthier à Grenoble, / Fait toutes sortes d’Instruments de musique. / 1819 Pons fils / rue du Grand Hurleur Paris 1813
