Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Wahrscheinlich einer slavisch-venezianischen Familie entstammend, finden wir ihn zuerst in Venedig und später in Padua. Eine Laute von ihm, aus Venedig datirt (später [1695] von Matth. Hummel »zugericht«), besitzt das Germanische Museum in Nürnberg; eine andere (aus Padua) befindet sich im grossh. Museum in Darmstadt (No. 482); eine kleine spanische Guitarre besitzt die Sammlung der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien (No. 35).
Karel Jalovec+
Son of Andrea and brother of Matteo. He worked in Venice till 1655, in Padua from 1655 till 1670. The arching of his instrument is somewhat high, the good brown-red varnish has darkened and appears today black-brown.
