William Meredith Morris+

He was born in Ederton, Ross-shire, Feb. i, 1817. He has made about fifty violins on the Maggini model. The workmanship and tone in his best work are of average merit. Ross claims to have repaired over a thousand instruments in his time, although he does not work professionally. He is a kind old gentleman, of very modest demeanour.
