Es giebt gute Contrabässe und einige Violinen von ihm. Er soll Schüler von Pallota in Perugia gewesen sein und dort schon um 1821 gearbeitet haben. Auch in Rom war im 19. Jahrhundert ein Giovanni Rossi in der Via dei Serviti thätig.
