Johann Christian Gottfried Born 1732, died 1782. Son of Johan Christian Schetelig, above. Master in the Guild of Luthiers 1751. Later worked for some time in Innsbruck, assisting the widow of J. G. Einziger Sohn von Joh. Christof Sch. und seiner Frau Anna Rosine. Ein geschickter Geigenmacher, der 1755 Meister wurde und am 18. November 1755 Johanna Rosine Meinel heirathete, mit der er neun Kinder hatte. Geigen von ihm kommen schon vor 1751 vor. Es giebt auch Zettel, auf denen er Innsbruck als Ursprungsort angiebt; ob er jemals dort gearbeitet hat oder nur, wie seine Zeitgenossen, einen beliebigen Ort fingirte, konnte nicht festgestellt werden.
