John Dilworth

SCHIAVI, Carlo Born 1908 San Bassano, died 1943 Cremona Italy. Pupil of L. Digiuni and F. Kresnik. First teacher appointed at the Cremona International School of Violin Making. Exhibited at Cremona 1937 and in Berlin 1938. Died during World War II. Stradivari, Guarneri, and personal models. Fine materials. Golden and slightly pink-red spirit varnish.
