John Dilworth

STORCK, Johann Reinhart Worked circa. 1766-1789 Strasbourg France. Brother and assistant of Georg Dietrich Storck, above, at the workshop ‘Au concert de cigognes’. Several addresses known: Pont du Corbeau, Place du Temple Neuf, and Quai Saint-Nicholas. A general music business handling all instruments: there are several harps and keyboards with his name. Also worked under his brother’s label. Several good violins recorded, a few violas, but no cellos. Dark brown or clear golden-yellow varnish. Some splendid violas known.
