A violin with carved animal head, made in 1814 to commemorate the victory over Napoleon, was presented to Tsar Alexander I. Presently in the Russian State Collection, Moscow. Label (translated): To the Father of our Motherland emperor Alexander I, the generous conqueror of the French and the city of Paris, who dethroned their emperor Napoleon and sent him to the island of Elba, then returned from the army to his capital city of St Petersburg, in 1814, to commemorate that famous époque this violin and a similar one, has been made by the Russian Collegiate Councilor Piotr Tuzov, though he never studied the craft but loved music.
