Er erscheint als Pathe einer Tochter von François II. Médard in Nancy. Als seine Heimath wird Mirecourt ausdrücklich bezeichnet. Dies und der Umstand, dass er einem Lautenmacher den Liebesdienst erweist, berechtigt wohl zu der Vermuthung, dass auch er gleichen Berufs gewesen ist. Er ist also der älteste, bis jetzt bekannte Ahnherr der Familie.
