The long working period suggests two makers, father and son, or perhaps some confusion with Jean Wolters who was established in rue St Antoine in 1750. Worked at The Hague 1726-1735. One violin in the Selhof Inventory cited by Vannes signed and dated ‘The Hague 1727’. Subsequently documented and established in the rue Coquillière, Paris 1775.
