Besonders tüchtiger Meister, dessen Violinen unter Umständen auf 600 bis 1000 M. Werth geschätzt werden; er scheint italienische Geigen gekannt zu haben und nahm die Wölbung daher oft flacher als die übrigen Halleiner Geigenmacher.
