Studied violin playing and making at the conservatoire in Vilnius, Lithuania. Active luthier in Vilnius from 1930. Subsequently emigrated to Israel and founded the business of Weinstein in Tel Aviv. Succeeded by his son Amnon (Born 1939). — John Dilworth
