Seine Arbeit entspricht der Klotz-Schule; er war aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach ein Mittenwalder, da auch der 1830 in Garmisch als Forstwart gestorbene Cölestin Wurmer — vielleicht ein Bruder unseres Geigenmachers — am 6. August 1773 in Mittenwald geboren war.
