John Dilworth
ZACH, Carl Worked circa. 1886-1900 Vienna Austria, died 1918 London UK. Son and successor of Thomas Zach, below. Founded the Carl Zach Company 1897, with offices in Budapest, Mannheim, and Darmstadt. Developed with Professor Ernest Fleischer a system for processing and impregnating tonewood, the professor being acknowledged on some labels. Very well finished and accurate work on Stradivari model Carl Zach Geigenmacher / Sohn des Thomas Zach / Gemacht in Wien. 1888 Carl Zach & Co / k.k. priv Instrumenten-Ateliers kgl.
