The head of the Gand family, b. 1748, at Mirecourt: d. 1820, Versailles. He established himself in Versailles in 1780. at 71, rue du Commerce ; later moved to 32, rue de la Paroisse, at the sign of ” aux tendres accords.” He had two sons, both makers, Charles François and Guillaume, the latter succeeded him.
