Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Ursprünglich zum Musiker bestimmt, musste er die Clavierfabrik seines
Vaters übernehmen und beschäftigte sich in den achtziger Jahren des 19. Jahrhunderts
auch mit der Herstellung von Streichinstrumenten eigener Erfindung.
Diese hatten einen guitarre-ähnlichen Körper mit gepresster (nicht ausgestochener
oder gehobelter Decke ohne F-Löcher, dagegen mit sechs runden Schalllöchern
in den Zargen. Ein derartiges Violoncell besitzt die Kgl. Sammlung alter
Musikinstrumente in Berlin.
